Why I started it

I didn’t create this blog to document my studies.
I started it to reflect on the things I picked up naturally,
while living, working, and moving through everyday life in Japan and Korea.

Things I overheard in a convenience store.
Things I misused in a meeting.
Things I thought I understood, until someone raised an eyebrow.

It’s not about mastering a language.
It’s about seeing how it slowly shapes the way you think, listen, and respond.

What to expect

Short posts, in English.
Each one focuses on a word, a phrase, or a moment.
Sometimes useful, sometimes observational, always honest.

No grammar drills.

Yes, BTS stands for Beyond the TextbookS.
It's a quiet little pun that nods to both language learners and K-culture fans.
This blog isn’t about pop stars.
But it is about going beyond what's written,
and listening more closely to how people actually speak.
